True

Decided I love these bichirs so much when I was in my lfs and saw they had something I've never seen in our area a nice delhezi bichir very what to mean seemed like a decent price of $30. So I picked him up to be with my 3 senegals. Amazing looking. I'll get pics up tomorrow.

Nice pickup. $30 is ok. You'd pay a lot more than that for shipping :).

Sounds like you got the polypterus bug. It happens to everyone who buys one of them :).

I still owe pictures I was exhausted yesterday so never got a chance. Ill get the delhezi pics up ASAP!

Yeah, I've heard of this before. That's the main reason I'm trying not to get one even if they sell them at around 2 inches locally. I know I'd end up outgrowing my apartment before I've got another place that actualy has some room.

Looking forward to those pictures by the way

Some nasty food poisoning sorry for the delays on the pics. After the first day I got him he is already eating shrimp pellets like the rest. Is there something else I should add into their diet besides the pellets?

I know several of the keepers here feed talapia fillet bits. Might ask for advice in the Polypterus forum section here. I'm betting they will have a lot of good advice.

Try sliced tilapia, cut up shrimp, earthworms, and any of the frozen foods (frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and krill).

If they're eating pellets already, that's good as a staple. Just make sure you give them some variation.
