you could do a naturalistic tank with the anoles. i dotn think the geckos would be to disturbed, ive seen them active during the day too and ive also seen anoles active at night around lights catching bugs. but you could also add some small skinks to the tank. also maybe a couple rough green snakes (or smooth) as they eat crickets too and dont get very big. and if you have some water maybe you could add small fish, newts, salamanders.
also, if you go dart frogs and need food you could just set up a 10 gallon with some dirt and hides and throw some female crix from the store in there. they will lay eggs and you will have pinhead crickets galore. i have that prob going on in my marine toad tank now lol. i take them to the lfs by me and feed them to their darts.
would be an awesome turtle set up. look in the classifieds, i think someone is selling an albino chinese softshell turtle!!!!! that would be killer!
or how about get a breeding trio of ackies. give them a good deep substrate. put piping underneath for tunnels. give them digging areas too...........get the idea? lol
if you go with snakes, would be a cool set up if you did some kind of natural set up with an adult yellow rat snake or a black rat snake.
the chameleon idea someone gave is a good idea too.
