The filtration is pretty incredible for a tank that size. What about some small Malawi or shellies ?

I had a killi just like the gold one above. Yeah they have tons of personality. I think you would like them they dont get monstrous though especially the rainbow lookin ones.

Maybe a small mastacembelus spiny eel? Like peacock or half banded?

I have a pair of 'Blue Gullaris' Killies in my planted tank and they have plenty of personality, trust. The male nips my hands and fingers while I prune the plants and none of the apistos can mess with him. He even backs down the largest of 4 juvie GTs. He's fearless <and they are carnivorous>. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

i think its a nice tank-i love the plants.. what about german rams? they would look beautiful in there.. or do community fish, black neons, serpaes, head and tail light fish, rummynoses,,,etc.. it would look good too

if you go with lake tanganyika shell dwellers the plants will have to go.. add some shells and you may need to tweak your ph level.. but they would look good too!
