Prices have dropped for all aro's... a lfs owner that comes to service our tank at the restaurant says that i got my RTG for a real good deal and that aro prices use to be a lot higher. But the price has come down quite a bit. If prices get really low I'ma sell RTG and trade in for Xback
I didn't have a particular store in mind but I did talk to some hobbyists out of Toronto about the recent low prices, and found that like I said above, the price charged here would have been the same if I included travel expenses.
Don't be fooled into thinking that aros selling for bottom dollar can be compared to aros being sold at higher prices in the recent past. The truth is I've seen some of these thousand dollar reds and 300 dollar RTGs and they are not impressive at all.
Most of the high quality asian aros are being gobbled up in China and Japan because they are paying top dollar.

I just visited Dragon Aquarium today in Sauga they had a few asian aro's but not many as well. I'd like to check out these 2 other places u know of. Dragon king, gold garden, and aquapets are all arowana specialized stores, but aquapets is starting to go pretty downhill. Lucky's inside market village is 3 quarters filled with aros and has probably the highest quality and best retail prices you're going to find in all of toronto. From the looks of it, they even have the biggest selection to choose from since Dragon King solely sells reds and gold garden is just known for their crappy fish overall. Dragon's down in sauga is also supposed to be an arowana based store, but again, their crappy and overpriced aros have forced them to start selling other fish. There was a new store that just openned jsut with a pretty good selection of aros and rays too, check out PN for that.Cliff.W.;4086469; said:

Yes, it is fish gallery; and I agree the green is a fine specimen. Your's aren't too bad either

I've checked out lucky's about 3 weeks ago they only had 1 red aro, a bunch of silver aro's and 1 adult RTG being sold by an owner for 1000$. That was about it. Gold Garden and Dragon King had aro's but they all seemed like the last pick of the batch. there were only like 5 aro's less than 9". I went to Dragon Aq. In Sauga today and they had about 5 aro's of which 1 or 2 looked healthy while others looked a little unhealthy in color and shape.
Where are they other 2 places you were talking about? I'll look up Aquapets. Can you provide address for the other one?

Got back from lucky's just now. 2 whole rows of 5" golds and reds lol. A couple 12"ers left as well. All i remember about the new store was they had a sale on marble motoros a month or 2 ago, you're going to have to check the PN archives.Cliff.W.;4087005; said:
