Opportunity for new fish... Midas

wow this is my first post in the cichlid part of the forum. i know that what i did is not recommended, but i bought a white midas(thinks its a hybrid) without researching it and aptly named it Prius lol. He is with my monsters...arowana 2 large knifes and so on. he is the only 1 in the tank with colour and is one of the coolest fish in the tank. he begs for food and follows me where ever i go. he seems quite calm. he is 7 inches long and almost 1.5 inches thick. loves market shrimp. before you get mad, i have spare tanks incase something goes bad.

No need to defend yourself! It's a shame that there is that much flaming that goes on that a person needs defend him/herself instantly. There is no textbook on fishkeeping 101 that works for every person and every fish. I'm glad that it is currently working for you and I hope it continues to work. I would love to have a midas/rd in with an aro!

Here's a pic of the Midas I got.. The one has some slight HITH, but it's just in the beginner stages. They seem fairly peaceful though in their tank together.

I am going to work on a fish food recipe to get their color up.

Do you think I can get the white/orange ones more orange than they are now?
