alot of people that arfe on this board are from illinois thats coll, but back to the topic when i had my pikes they were prly some of the most fun i have obhad with fish, especially my xingu I he used to take food out of my hands
yah that happened to me to but mine was only about 10-11", then he got a baterial and a fungal disease at the same time, itried my best to save"Spike" he didn't make it R.I.P
OK I got 1 about 2 weeks ago and the fins ar black and white. I went to the shop today and they had more that were a lil bigger but also sported some orange fins.
Are Colored fins a way of telling sex or just waiting til they grow and change? I didnt trust geting one since they were bigger. (been through that before)
How big were they? The adult xingu I will get red fins in the female....can't member if the males fins turn red as well. I know the main way to distinguish male from female though is the female will have white linin on her dorsal fin...males will lack this...
