um not sure as your in US, but a GN sure would be a good choice. could try L014 for somethin a bit different though. ummm how about one of the black and white plecos, such as these- L066, L260. go for a whiptail red or not- L010a is the one pictured. quite a choice in that price range. tell us what you decide onBDawg364 said:Thats an awesome orange seam....
Ok, well since the pleco masters seem to be checking this thread, and I don't want to start a new one, what are some cool looking plecos in the less expensive range, maybe $10-40. I have a hookup so I can get fish for a pretty good discount off of retail, I just want to know some to try and have my source order for me. I am thinking gold nugget for sure, but what are some others? I already have a massive common, a butterfly, and a leopard. What else should I try to get?

Sorry guys, we got into a rant.BDawg364 said:This may help. I love plecos with cool patterns/markings, that will reach the 3-4" mark rather quickly. I like to keep bigger plecos in my 55g, and if I get them too small and don't grow them out enough, my oscar will eat them. I love the pattern on the butterfly (stripes), and the leopard caught my eye the other day, because even though it was small i got it at like $6 which is only $2 more than they were selling commons for so I had to pick it up. I love the colors on a GN, but that would leave me with mostly yellowish and darker plecos. I want a black one with bigger white spots, a chocolate one, and maybe one with some red and one with some green. Any ideas?
Please include common name to ease my search(and L number if possible)
these are all great plecos, duno if you could find a few of them for less that $40 though.WyldFya said:GN's stay quite small. Black with bigger white spots... hmm l030 peppermint Oligancistrus sp., L065 Blizzard cactus, L068, L102 Snowball, L201 Hypancistrus Inspector. Chocolate one, chocolate pleco. Red and green, the L106 Orangeseam pleco will have green with a little orange. the last one is going to be really hard. If you want just a green one L200, or the newer species Temmincki plecos, both veil and not are green. However there are very few places selling them right now. Red you could go L114, L24, L25.
