The RKL is also back lit too...I think you said only the Neptune JR was...but the RKL is too...only one color tho...not 30 like mine...ohhh ahhh fun to play with but dat about it lol.

Not sure why I was thinking that it wasn't back lit, I'm glad to know that it is though. The moonlighting would be kind of cool but I am more interested in the ATO. I had been planning on purchasing a Tunze Osmolator so this may end up saving me some money in the long run.

It looks like its a black background with like white lettering in the pic. The description of it says back lit with one color so I am guessing thats it.

Yeah the ATO is another cool thing...I dont know where im going to get my float switches yet...haven't got that far in my setup....but my plan is 2 float switches...one in the sump and one in the top off bucket. The one in the top off bucket is so the pump doesnt burn up if the water gets too low. Thats my plan at least....

The moon lights can be added down the line too....

If the controller allows it you would be better off with three float switches. One in the top off bucket and two in your sump. The bottom float switch in the sump tells it when to add water. The second one is up higher and is there as a back up in case the primary one sticks the second one will shut the pump off before it overflows your sump.

True...but then you need another SL1 for another switch port. Not a bad idea...but my top off volume wont be able to overflow my sump if its all pumped in....at least thats the plan so far. Might get another SL1 for more switches tho.

I understand but I always try to prepare for Murphy. For example and believe me I know that this is reaching. If you would empty your reservoir and then lost power would it overflow? Like I said, I'm reaching but if your luck is anything like mine anything is possible.

If you do end up doing an ATO please post the details on how you do it.

Thats why I had my stand built the way it is...for Murphy! If the sump overflows I have my stand made so it will hold water...about 4-5" deep across the entire bottom of the stand....thats about 30-40 gal with out taking out displacement for the sump and other stuff....but a good amount of water non the less.

And since I have the RKE I plan to have water sensors also in the stand...so if it floods the botom it will shut what ever pumps I want off and send me a email letting me know there is a problem...and I get my emails on my iPhone so I am set.

I am def doing a ATO system...and you know I will post all the info for it with pics. Just have to get to hat point. I am still not 100% how im setting that up but i have ideas. I will prob end up with 2 garbage cans of water...so I will prob get another SL1.

I just received the controller a little bit ago. This is unbelievable service as far as shipping goes. I placed my order after 5:00 on Tuesday and it arrives today (Thursday). There is no way I could ask for quicker shipping. The only negative with the whole experience was that I did not receive a confirmation e-mail or shipping information. I imagine that they just mis-understood my e-mail address when I told it to them. Regardless, I'm sure I could have called them and asked them for it any time.

Here's the controller along with a couple of other goodies I purchased today.

:D see I told you they did me right...not to shabby for free shipping!! I usual get emails so it might have been an over site. But I always got my stuff fast too. Nice little stack of goodies!

I just received a call from Enrico at aquacave. Someone there accidentally shipped out an Elite controller to someone that had ordered a Lite controller. He was just checking to see if it happened to be me. We had a nice conversation afterwards, he really is a nice guy.

I went ahead and e-mailed him a picture of the controller I had received from them. I would hate for someone to ever think that I tried to take advantage, or tried to steal from them.

Hopefully they find out where the Elite controller got shipped to. If the person keeps it then I hope they can live with themselves.
