Bump, new update?

Everyone is doing great. I'm thawing tilapia right now. Hoping to see some ornate eating action. I had to go out of town for business yesterday so I came in and threw a few pellets on either side of the tank and left.

Also, I have 4 fish as you know. The 2 chocolate cichlids and 2 spotted severums. The spotted severums are F1s and one of them chases the other a lot. Not putting up with that this go around so if it becomes a problem he's getting yanked out.

I have two 20 gallons in my office on an industrial rack. In one of them I have 3 small angel fish that are about the same size as the other fish. Think I could toss those in the big tank? My plan is to add more fish until the polys get bigger and then I'll reduce the fish stock.

The Delhezi ate really well lol PIGS

Everyone else ate as well. Doesn't take a whole lot of fish to feed these guys and is king of pain to chop it up that small..

It is kind of a pain but it's worth it. I have long tongs for aquarium plants. I grab the fish with the tongs, cut it up into bits with kitchen scissors, and use the tongs to put the fish right where I want it (for me, it's past the level of the congo tetras so they don't grab it and cart around fish pieces WAY too big for them. Pigs.)

Also, I cut it up in batches and then I re-freeze in ziplocs so I have already cut up bits later. That way I don't have to cut it up every single meal.

I think the angels could work, just watch the dynamic with the other cichlids.

I'll try cutting up a large batch at a time with scissors. The tilapia comes individually wrapped so I open the package and break off a small piece and put the rest in a new ziplock. Then I take the little piece that I'm going cut up and I put it in a ziplock and put it in a bowl of hot water. Then I take it out of the bag and cut it up with a knife which takes forever.

Yeah, the ornates are starting to. The dels are teaching them their ways.

I tossed the angelfish in the 125 and they're doing well. The severums were a little nippy at first but everyone is chill now.
