Ordering Delhezis today!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My plan is to take out every single rock in the tank. I want to find a large 4 foot piece of drift wood and zip tie these anubias to it. I've been looking in my local river. I have a crawfish pot I can boil it in. I'm going to pick up a large piece I saw the other day at lunch today. I'll post some pictures. I'm kind of nervous on using "wild caught" driftwood that I find. I'll probably end up buying it. Wood is so expensive!

Since they are new and babies they are just feeling insecure. Your scape is nice but they don't want to be eaten. ;)

You might consider some branches, even if you want to avoid large DW to avoid bichir hiding, maybe somehow suspend some up higher for cover. I'm actually trying to figure out a way to do that now with one of my pieces. You could do skinnier branches now while they're all small.

You could also add some more plants or.... wait for it... floating plants! I'm the floating plant pusher, but I really do think they makes fish feel more secure.

Didn't see your post - came up while I was typing! :)

Time will help them too.

Is your light LED? You could turn it down a little if so.

I want to buy more plants and will once I figure out the wood deal. I did see a lot of branches out in the water and might use those as well. I just need to figure out what species the wood is so I don't kill everything in the tank.

I have them down pretty low right now but I'll go a little lower.

Just a thought but the polys may hide on you if you add some large DW. Maybe add some really small peices just large enough to hold the annubias

yeah, they'd be really happy with a large log in there lol. I hit the mother load just now on wood. I take some photos of what I picked up.

Here's the deal. This was on a bank next to the river down the road from where I work. It's semi brackish water. I don't know what of this I can use because I'm not familiar with what is toxic to aquarium fish. I'll do some research. If you can tell let me know.

Only means one thing, need more poly, lolz

I could put another 10 in there but boy I'd have a problem in a year. When I get this 75 set up I could put everyone in it and put what I hope to get from Toyin in the 125. Get about 5 big guys.

You have 6 polys already right? 3 del and 3 ornate? Your ornate will grow fast, than the del. You can add two more in there but its really up to you. I had the same problem in my old 75g so i just keep adding poly, the only poly that didnt hang on top for me was the endlis, i think you can fit two cb endli in that tank but they dont swim around like UJ does.
