Tank is looking great. I’m running the same lights on my 450.They are really bright for such a small footprint. I’m only running two as well and like the shadow look in the back of the tank.
Tank builder coming Saturday to install 4 new gate valves (Different ) brand - spears ...
One of the NDS has a bad stem and leaking...
I’ve got all the Ecotech pumps and wave makers programmed and dialed in, the all come to a slow barley turning enough to prevent siphon at 630am for feeding and ramping up to full power by 730. I must say the two mp40’s churn up and waste and leftover food off the gravel bed. I run them at 100% after feeding to get the leftovers eaten or put in the W/D. “Feed mode” finally works after I calibrated the pumps...
The auto water change seems ok, I’ve been watching it daily for a week, I pump out 25g every 12 hours... nitrates seem to hover around 5ppm.
I’m going to implement some of wolfmans plumbing suggestions after tank builder has completed his job...
Need to manage all the components too... got them sitting on egg crate...
Got new valves installed, plants from universal rocks came... very impressed... cost the same as the jenky Fluval ones I got....
Taking a little breather on this for a few or two before I optimize the auto w/c system that’s currently changing around 50 gallons per day keeping nitrates at 5ppm.
Do need a fish that can clean the driftwood and under it... pleco like (cautious about adding one due to potential to scratch acrylic. )
That's the exact spears gate valve I have. It's built solid and should last you for a long time. I wish they just came with unions so I just added that to my plumbing. Cepex sold at BRS is also good if you need true union ball valves, for future reference.
