Was your Oscar aggressive towards the other fish?
I ask cause I just bought a 9 inch Oscar last night. It's in a tank with a black diamond ray and a 3 inch L200.
Oscar seems real relaxed but hasn't eaten yet. It also didn't want anything to do with the other fish in the tank. So I'm hopeful.

two fish. I hate it when your in the what if stage of a fish loss. Double guessing yourself, but it happens. Sorry for your loss.
