thanks everyone for all the advice I did a water change put the cartridge back in the filter turn the heat up and salt in we we'll see what happens? Anyone know how long till he gets better?

As far as my 75 gallon tank goes its just a grow out tank I'm going to eventually get a 300 gallon. My stock list is a 7in red devil, 7in green severum, 5in texas, 5in chocolate, two 3in firemouthes, 5in pike, 3in convict, 4in jack dempsy, and 9in pleco

The healing process has many variables. The younger they are the faster they will heal. The fresher you keep the water the faster they will heal. Keeping the water the freshest is the most important part. Daily water change will help greatly. But I would say keep him solo for at least 1 week(depending on damage). Nice stock... They should love the 300 gallon tank that you get for them!
 
Hes looking alot better and mote alive 4 days ago i woulda told you he looked like he wasnt going to make it but hes looking great and if i do a water change do i ad more salt and if i do how much

That's great! :) and you only add enough salt to treat the amount of water you are replacing
