Oscar Fish Experiences

I have had mine for a year now,picky eater,will not eat the other tankmates,hogging the spot light,and always pissed off about something.
my first cichlid i was able to keep alive was a gorgeous tiger oscar with almost the pattern of a managuense. but of course as it goes i got into other cichlids and took him back. he was an awesome fish and grew from 2.5"-6" in three months. should have kept him cause i have yet to see more with the pattern he had.
Had three oscars for about 10 years and they were like puppies alwaaaays wanting attention. not one scrap the entire time i had them. always hand fed them, they were awesome fish!
I have considered another one to go with my midas, freddy, BN plecos and maybe an ornate pictus in my 5x2x2.
I know they are nice fish but they can hit 15" and I'm not sure I am comfortable with a 15" fish in a 5ft tank. Seems like it could be a shade tight for a large oscar.
