HITH shouldn't really occur in the first place, and your seemingly excessive water changing ritual (especially when you don't have a test kit to validate the need for such common changes, regardless of how good they possibly are for most fish) might be causing more harm than good, especially if you're doing it incorrectly.
Fish generally don't just stop eating, there's something that causes is, especially when it comes to Oscars.

nomadofthehills;2798585; said:I used to have an oscar in a 54g, and the only way I could keep the nitrates down to a reasonable level (an index of water quality), was to do 3 50% water changes every single week.
You are doing roughly 35% water changes, and you didn't specify how often. Sounds like your water is filthy, which might cause him to stop eating.
I would do a normal water change today, then a 50% tomorrow, followed by another 50% the day after, and then a 75% the fourth day.
