Oscar or Midas/RD mix

75G = Midas/RD.
75G is pushing the limit for an Oscar IMO.
I've owned both & prefer the RD/Midas.
My O's always jumped out of the tank, My Rd jumps for food but not out of the tank.
What fish do you like more?

Both cichlids dig actually,they both like to rearrange the tank the way they like it.So overall,from hearing what other says about Midas's having a personality,which I never owned one yet,but I do have a Oscar,that minds his own business,barely bothers the other tank mates,I can keep smaller cichlids with the Oscar since I have a 125 gallon.Overall cool to own,but its really up to you what you want.From what I seen in both Cichlids they both look great to own in a tank set up.

Midas/RD in my personal experience of both. They both have that wet pet attitude, but I just like the difference in that every midas/RD i've owned over the years has been different. And it would be better in a tank that size to have just him/her by themself.

i like the colors of some tiger oscars better, but i have never owned a RD/Midas before would it be able to be tanked with a senegal that i currently have in the tank?

Everyone is different, but typically in a tank that size probably not in the long run. Some have ones that are a little more melow especially if they are not the first fish in the tank, but typically they don't tolerate other fish unless it's in a very large tank.

my oscar has more personality then any fish ive seen he darts to the side of the tank at which im at to see me

If you pick the Midas it is doubtful that you would even be able to put a bichir. I have a midas and you cant even put a bristlenose pleco with him. He will kill anything you put in the tank with him. He is a cool fish if kept alone. I also have a Oscar that is real mellow and doesnt mind his tankmates.

My RD likes to check me out when I'm just chilling in bed watching TV.
He seems sort of jealous of my dog cause I let him up on my bed.
He give my dogs the "stink eye" all the time.
:D

Ive kept both midas all the way

i would go with midas. Oscars are cool too. it all depends if you like agressive or not. IMO midas tend to be more aggressive then oscars.
