Knowing that these fish are so inteligent, I am going to change things on them every now and then. Offer a new food, rearrange decor, give them a new item to check out and manipulate. Thinking of making some simple puzzles too. I have an idea for putting a cricket in a clear plastic box that over hangs the water. Bottom of the box will be like a trap door with a string and a bead to pull. Get it? See if they can figure it out

I've been crazy busy getting ready for this hirricane but I just wanted to take a second to not have an anxiety attack and post a pic of Toni being silly.
I had to bring in some driftwood and horn wart from outside. I put them in her tank because I am running out of places to put things. She's liking the new stuff tho because she's been busy arranging things lol.
I did not put the ping pong ball under the driftwood. I tried to reach in and move it but she went after me like "No! Thats mine! Don't touch it!"

Makes me happy that she is settling in. And playing with stuff to boot!
Now do you see what I was saying about how her orange markings has a metallic effect to it, plus that metallic layer between the white skin and orange markings. This later in time turns orange, can see it progressing towards her face.

She's so cute there like a little puppy.
All my fish were being fostered by firends and other fish keepers while my fish room was being cleaned and reassembled. Mat, the guy who kept the Os for me is an oscar fanatic. Hey

I love her to bits tho, so no deal! They're back home tonight... Sulking. Its been hard on all of us but I'm so glad they are home. In a few days they will be back to their aggervating selves. ..except for Scrappy. He seems all to happy be back. Mat said he wouldn't eat at his house. The little aqua puppy ate for me before I left for work tho. Thought he was trying to take my finger off.

When I reopened this thread I realized I was waaay behind. So I had to read everything to catch up. The suspense was killing me, but I am happy they made it through the storm. Also happy that scrappy ate... but not your finger
Lol me too. Mat said that he didnt come off the bottom of his tank the whole 3 days that he had him. As soon as I put him in back he was swiming all over the place tho. Reminded me of the way my boston terrier acts when i come home from work
