No need splitting hairs over a marginally effective product.

not a dang thing wrong with being wrong except not admitting your are wrong when you are wrong. I looked it up and I was wrong on the properties. and there is nothing wrong with that, and I learned something, and there certainly nothing wrong with that. Think I have exhausted my use of the word wrong here,,, and there is nothing wrong with that either, long as I have corrected myself. ;)

now back the OP, again it does look infected a bit as mentioned and i would treat with what was mentioned or any product with the same active ingredient.

You got that right,Pops.

I haven't ruled it out, I just didn't want to taint anyone's response... The strange thing about that how recluse the pleco is! He never shows his face... but has anyone else had a pleco go after an equivalent fish?
yes Ive had an aggressive common, and I had an aggressive marble sail fin that once pinned a festae

I have had my 16" get pissed at the male jag and take to attacking it, mostly I will jab your arse if you not leave me alone. but never try to rasp him or any other fish. Not saying not happen, just nothing any of my plec,s have done.

If you think you have a fungal infection a Meth blue bath will clear it up. Keep the main tank as clean as possible. Once a pleco gets a taste for slime they can be a real PITA. I had a sailfin once that started that crap (gone in 60 seconds).

I started this thread partly to see how the "poll" works, and to see if others would suspect my pleco... I was also testing my theory that threads with stupid titles get lots of views.

That picture was from 7 days ago, shown again for easy comparison:

this one is from 5 days ago:

And here is today, just a moment ago:

In the mean time I have done nothing at all. I have fed like normal, and watched extra close, especially checking my oscar first thing in the morning. I figure if it is my pleco, and he keeps it up, most likely happens at night. He's just a little rubber lip, though, they are so skittish that the oscar would almost have to be dead for the pleco to do too much damage... But if it is a recurring issue, the pleco will have to go somewhere else...
