I have to agree with everyone. Unless you plan to upgrade within a year, get something else.. There are many, many fw species that are personable and exciting. Choose something you can provide for!!!
Oscars are great but so are others.... Do some research and find what you want that you can care for or your fish will suffer..
I have an Oscar for 8 years now and he's very close to 16"
BTW the butis butis looks badass. And the albino oscar up there is gorgeous
I have a baby oscar in my 80 gallon with a parrot. He is only about 4" and cute as hell. I love that little sucker, same with my parrot. my parrot is much bigger then him. But they will be getting a 150 gallon. A 75 gallon is okay for just one oscar alone.
have o thats 1 and is 10" already so if you planned on possible upgrade of tank do it before you set up 55 and before you no it your already moving i have senegalus bichers in a 55 they are fun diffrent and look happy with tank size
