oscar tank mate and setup in 75 gallon tank. Any suggestion?

Yeah, mixing continents is fine as long as the fish are compatible in water and temperament. Even keeping a red devil in the same tank as a carpintis or jd is geographically incorrect.

Oscars produce a lot of waste. If it was any smaller, cleaner cichlid, it would be possible, but a solo Oscar maxes up to a 90.

Definitely possible and one of the most popular fish mixes, just needs at least 125.

Yes I've kept Bichir with Cichlids but for the OP would the Bichir grow fast enough and get enough food with a Oscar.

I agree with the continent thing. I just think the tank is incredibly too small for it. I know they are compatible.

0 Bichirs! For one, they are from different continents, and 2, you would need at minimum 90 gallons for both, and even then, you are looking at biweekly waterchanges to tri-weekly water changes.

Shooting your mouth off again? Continents don't matter that much unless you are creating a biotope.
