uhm, that quite a change of subject, but i'd only raise your temp to 30oC.
That should take care of the white spot, imo.
Removing all water will not serve any purpose.
Just keep up with your normal waterchanges.

go with severums they will add more color in your tank and they can hold there own if you get a mean oscar
