we have a jack dempsey and it does NOTHING, it isn't aggressive at all but it really does depend on the fish- but i've been told by a couple people that cichlids that are not wild bred- that are tank/captive bred are less aggressive and easier to put with other things hence why our jack doesn't do much and isn't aggressive to anyone in the tank
