What do you feed your Oscar?

I am a aqueon cichlid pellet fan. other good pellets out there but I am sold on this one. probably the only thing aqueon does right.

Do you think a 55 gallon tank is OK for an Oscar that isn't very active?

I do not recommend an Oscar in a 55g. for an adult you are doing fin level water changes twice a week, and the foot print small. I would look to a 75g. or better a 90g. Can it be done? sure folks do it all the time. but not something I feel good recommending.

work the water changes then, number 1 thing you can do for your fish. you have a water test kit such as a API Master Fresh Water Test Kit?

Yes I do. I check the water and do 50% water changes every week. I have 2 Penguin 350 filter's on the tank .
