Oscar vs Jaguar

Hey guys should i get an oscar or a jag??

i like the jags cos they r aggressive and beautiful but i read somewhere that oscars are almost like puppys when trained LoL..

so out of all ur experiences which one is better??

Plus any ideas on how to set up the tank??

Personally, I would go with the jag (assuming you have at least a 75 gallon tank).
Depends if you want a fish that will try to attack you or one that will constantly beg for food.

I'd get a jag, if you have the space, definitely get one.

Both are great fish. Most will say jags because they are a little less common than oscars and very cool looking. I think Oscars are a bit more interactive, but both are owner responsive. It just depends on what you want.

Jags are not in abundance as much as Oscars but pretty much readily available too, not highly stocked like Oscars but they are also a bit cheaper too.

Both are cool fish. If you've never kept a large cichlid I would go with the Oscar. He'll engage you more and you'll be able to add some tankmates without fear of murder the first night.
