I'm thinking about putting a BGK in with my oscar and watermelon pleco. Its a 75 gallon. Oscar is about 4" and pleco is about 5". Do you guys think I'll have any issues?

My oscar is fine with my black ghost. The black ghost is almost 7 inches and the oscar is about 5 (with tail for both). My oscar doesn't bother any of the other fish. Almost any fish will be fine with an oscar as long as it can't fit in its mouth. Provided the fish is not aggressive like a red devil or somthing

def not worried about him eating him. I think im gonna give it a try.

Threads like this are funny as hell… the inexperienced opinion is NO!… but the experienced opinion is no problem… who ya gonna listen too? Makes ya wonder why so many people are so damn eager to throw out opinions based on nothing more than random speculation… now that’s good advice!

I added my BGK to my Oscar tank (multiple Oscars and other Cichlids) when the Os were about 4” and the BGK was about 5”…

Well the Oscars are between 11.5 & 13”… the BGK is over 12”… they’ve lived together 5 years and have not had a single fight… they are in a 300 gal 6’ round tank, but the BGK wonders the tank ignoring the Cichlids day and night…

The JDs tried to fight the Knife when the Knife was attacking their nest and eating all their fry… the JDs learned that the wrath of a Ghost Knife can empty a nest quick! The Knife swam off unharmed and well fed… the male Dempsey lost some scales…

Have any of you guys seen a BGK fight? Fear for your Cichlids not your knife…
