I wouldnt. Convicts get so aggro while breeding which they do all the time.

Why not get something cool but not SO aggressive. like an spiney eel or something. I had three eels with an oscar and had no problems.

Actually My advise is to not get anything else for the tank. Get the oscar in and going well and if it works out then look for tankmates.

i keep seeing this $1 a gal thing a 75 gal here used would sale for $400, grab that deal, you probably cant beat it anywhere unless free

If I watch the sale ads, I can get $1 a gal on a new tank at my LFS up to 220 - sale runs several times a year.
