i hate oscars. they produce twice as much poop as a blue whale. i think the only nice lookin oscar imo is the red tiger oscar even though it is a poop machine i may still pick one up.
plecos are worse than oscars i had a pleco that pooped like 50 times an hour.

oh you aint kiddin. most of my plecos poop breaks off but i got one that can decorate the entire 125 in tinsle. you could use his 50 yds of poop to pull a jeep out of a ditch. ya now that i think of him i will go get the red tiger.

oscars seem to be very intelligent, they always eat, and they come in many variations, not only that, oscars grow out to a respectable size. I think they are a great fish.

I love Oscars and always have. I try to do other theme tanks but always end up with a tank with an Oscar.

I like the personality of them. It is neat to have a fish that recognizes you.

The best thing I like about them is that you can put them with many other types of fish. I tend to enjoy community tanks and an Oscar can adapt to share space with many aggressive or non-aggressive fish. To me that is their best attribute.

Attached is a picture of mine, with the tale of a large Arrowana I had with him a while ago. He is now part of a community tank and all of them get along great.

I couldn't agree more. I think they qualify as one of the best "pet fish" species out there.

My vote...NOT BORING!! :D
