Ok heres the thing my parents went out and saw a fish store they were nice enough to look at it for me they said there were adult oscars.
Ok good thing about a adult oscar is that they are easy to feed downside he/she might not like me as it is not used to me.
Upside to having a baby oscar it will get used to me and will know who i am downside is that it is a little harder to feed.

i never found small O's hard to feed. id prefer a baby one rather a big one that way you can know its personality and it will be easier for the O to get along with its tank mates. thats wut i think

The way I look at it is fish only have a limited life.. maybe 8 years for an Oscar? What if you buy one that's six years old already? It might die of old age next year :( Especially if it hasn't been well cared for in the past and is stunted.

Get a small one, then you know it has a long potential life ahead of it, and 1/2 the fun is watching them grow :D:popcorn:

Cheers

Ian

Thanks everyone i will get a baby then anyway i can get it this saturday i am so annoyed i went yesterday tested my water my LFS tested thing it was all prefect then they test ammonia it is stuck between neutral and bad lol so saturday i get him i am so excited:grinno:.

PERSONALLY........ growing out a baby fish is always fun but I'd go for an adult Oscar. However, the reason for that is because here in the US there are THOUSANDS of homeless adult Oscars that outgrew the tanks of unwitting owners who didn't know how big they would get. However...I don't know if thats the case in australia...

I would go baby Oscar. they are so neat to watch and U get to watch them grow.. Feeding is not a problem at all. they grow fast and follow U around in a months time..
