I see large trade in Oscars all the time at the LFS, some of the poor things even have HITH. But the store wants between $30-$40 for them. Unfortunately it is pure greed on their part, which could hold many people back from adopting these homeless fish.

yes that is a crying shame on their part for sure.. so wrong.. but the wiser we all get the more they will know they can only pull the wool over some of our eyes ..some of the time.. but not all of the time.. every chance i get i let them know i know...

I like it when i get lots of repleys thanks everyone tommorow i am getting him:grinno::grinyes::grinno: (hopefully) stupid water won't make up its made lol but anyway i am going to get a baby also i hope they still have tiger oscar left theres 2 albino oscars and one one tiger if that tiger is not there i will be annoyed since it has been there for 2 weeks also i think albino oscars are ugly.

First of all i just wanted to tell you..there are NO ugly Oscars..none of any O's are ugly..you may not prefer the color over another ...etc.. but no uglys in the O's... cannot wait to you get your baby..why did you not put a hold on the one you want so you won't be dissapointed... LFS do not mind holding a fish that you choose..

Well the thing is i have a short memory and a short attention spa.... hey look a bird :D i always say to my self i have to ask my LFS this and that i go there and forget cause of all the cool fish lol so this time i am writing a list it kinda annoying have a short attention span and memory but meh.

Just yesterday I was at on of my LFS and they had a 9'' (not including tail) O for $20. I wanted it really bad because I have an empty 55(I know its not a perfect tank for an O, but its alot better than what it was in at the LFS) but I'm not going to pay that much for an O. They also had a silver aro thats about 12-13'' for $140! Crazy people, it wasnt even in good shape, had drop-eye and its fins were clamped very tight to its body.

My other LFS gets rescue plecs and O's in all the time, right now they have two 5'' O's thare selling as a pair for $10 wich I think is reasonable seeing as they sell 2-3'' for $5.

Oscars are cool, I prefer "wild-type" over albino myself but I have seen some really nice albino's.

Now that is more like it, nice deal there.

Yea have fun with the O. I always get them young. I think there are a lot more fun to watch grow, plus they have a lot of energy as youngsters.

I might buy them, not sure though.
I was there last week and they had a 20long full of baby O's, I was putting my finger to the glass and they all kept ramming into it. The lid was open so I put my finger and inch above the water, and about 4 of them jumped out and tried to take a bite! Crazy little guys, I cant help myself. I need to go buy a baby O!
