Oscars for a 4x2x2 tank

Or if you have issues with other fish getting the food, beak up a lot of food into about half the size of the normal food. Then let those go under the water so they sink, and place large pellets on top. Oscars go for the biggest food, they won't mess with the little stuff. For this I'm talking about using pellets.

thats what i was going to suggest, a GT.

right now i have 2 o's, a GT, an escondido, and two juvi Polleni in a 75 growing out. they are 3-4" right now, and soon to be in an 8' tank. they get along fine at the moment. no aggression issues at all.

also maybe look into a Polleni? i love mine, i have one 10" male, and he is magnificent

i have an oscar and i love him his tankmates consist of a jack dempsey green severum and tiger shovelnose catfish, they all get along fine and i thnk they get like separation anxiety when my severum got sick the other two were like depressed, but O's have an amazing personality and truly are enjoyable

Anyone kept Green Terrors with oscars?

Ya but thats not such a great idea. i had one Gt with one O and the GT beat the crap out of the O. so i got 2 more Os and they share the pain.If Gts werent so cool i would sell him!! and your 4x2x2 tank is 120g.

if the GT is larger or the same size as the O, i could see that being a problem. i have had that combo 3 times though and never had any aggression from the GT towards the O. the O will always be the larger fish too, if they start that way

lol for some reason I thought I'd need to worry about the GT, I might throw an oscar in with mine and just see how it goes

i have had oscars and gts together for years and never had any problems, and right now i have 4 oscars and a gt in a 180 and they all get along and have been for over a year now, just all depends on your fishes personality

I would not recommend keeping 2 oscars together as the larger one will more then likely bully the smaller weaker fish.

You could however get away with keeping two if you manged to find a pair to buy or get lucky when picking juveniles.

for bottom dwellers i find you can neer go wrong one with one of the sucking catfish or a species of syno e.g synodontis eupertus

hope this helps
