Oscar's in a 55g

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I am not buying a tank at this time I was given a tank yesterday still trying to figure the size will post mesurements later maybe someone can help with that.. I am going to save now to buy a 90g to 120g by Oct. for both O's I just spent $600+ little over a month ago for the 55g set up.. If i see a problem once i get the other O I will take him to my lfs and give him away I like O's to much to hurt him.. Or if the other tank( Im sure it's a least a 40g to 45g) is big enough I will set it up for him until I get my bigger tank in Oct..

If you look back thru this post you will see I never said I have fish yet a 2nd i am doing this to keep the fish from being dumped some where on someone who dose not care about him.. I am trying to see if this can be a short term solution my with went yesterday and priced a 90g tank.. I have read and seen were that should be big enough for them correct? And again I have this free tank that should work for at least 3 to 4 months i will just have to work on keeping the water good..

For both of the Future Oscars 90g is too small! For One oscar 75g would be ok. For short term Only the oscars will be ok in the tank you have.

did you read this? http://www.aquariumboard.com/forums/articles/4240.htm

Here is a tank volume calculator make sure to check inches. http://www.firsttankguide.net/calculator.php
