They used that on me too. I was thinking about a clown knife will those be ok?

I would add a motoro and keep it at that..... you don't have a lot of water to dilute all the rays waste..... what is the filtration¿¿¿

JUST KIDDING!!

I would say that an Aro and a Ray (maybe 2) would be plenty for the tank.. Bioload is going to be your issue, because of the water volume. Space is good for a few years.. Might want to try a hardier, larger, faster growing ray than a Retic.. Motoro is a good choice.

As for additional tankmates, the Irwini cat is cool.. so would a Juruense or Tigrinus. Just don't get anything to active. As far as top-viewing fish, more rays is the best IMO :D You will just need to do a TON of water changes..

how many motoros do you think can go in a 300g rubbermaid tub?

2 or 3? Depends on water change schedule, more than space, I would assume..

Also depends on what size they are.. could easily do a small group (4-6) juvie rays.. but only 2-3 adults. You will hear differing opinions. I think if the space is adequate, bioload and nitrate accumulation is your primary concerns.

IMO 2 tops!

To answer your tankmate question, have you thought about a gar?

I may be moving out of FL, and I want to put my 300g to good use. I am going to run 2 FX5's as prefilters into a 55g drum full of scrubbies. Weekly wc of 50% or 2x30%. I wanted rays on the bottom, aro on top, and my jurupari in there as well. Can't i keep 1 male, 3 females?
