It depend. If the fish have been keeping in that particular tank and water is well managed, dun see a need to do water change for this kinda minor injury.:)

I always keep water at best perameters possible
W/C weekly at 30-50% depending on how long to get all the pleco dung out.

From your method of keeping the water in there, I'll say it's alright even you didn't add any medication for this injury.:)
 
that arowana looks real familiar with the one drop eye and I see that you are from Washington did you purchase it from a place for pets in Burien?
