My mother was driving, and the bear ran into them. Looks like it hit the car a few times before running off up a hill.
We've also been driving and had a bear run across the road right in front of us. Luckily for him, we did not hit it. I don't like bears--they get into our garbage and strew trash around. In the past, a bear has gone into the garage and made off with the dog food (the whole bag). Once I opened the door into the garage (which was left open) and came face to face with a bear. Bears are smelly creatures, and their stinkiness lingers after they leave. Several times I've seen a large black shepherd strolling on our driveway, but when I looked closer, discovered the "dog" was a bear. Bears and raccoons get pinked up with a paint ball gun when they come around now.
