great group of bichirs! yeah i noticed the del has only one eye, although i probably wouldn't have noticed if you hadn't named him cyclops:)

very nice collection....cant stop until you get them all :)
good job getting your bf hooked, makes your collecting easier ;)

its an p. endli endli, oops Infblue beat me to it, yeah I agree with him, nice collection!

They are beautiful and their names are perfect..lol

What a wonderful collection! I can't wait to get more, but I need another big tank first.

dont forget to add ansorgi to your list lol! get a 180 for the big family. that would be great.

Gggrrr about the ansorgi thing. I've done research and I'm finding out its extinct, but other places say brand new. Which is it? Lol ~ And I can't get anything bigger than a 55 yet (thankfully I have time before these things are massive monsters) though I saw the most awesome deal EVER the other day.... a 200g with custom cabinet for $625 altogether. Anyway, my plans been working so far... Bought small fish, as they grow I get bigger tanks. Soon (hopefully) we'll be on ground floor and I can get two big tanks - one for upper jaw and one for lower jaw/ornates.
Thanks to all for help with Izzy - Hoping she'll grow into a twin of Indy. She had decent striping on her when I got her but her coloration has faded a lot since then. CDM - which fish you want more pix of??

ansorgii is not brand new and not extinct. just that for a very long time no live specimens have been seen, at least in the hobby and the scientific community (now it's harder to tell whether it's just that no one has tried to export them, even though the locals might have known about and seen them). anyway, a while ago the japaneses made the effort to try to find it and were successful, although the quantity is still very small. i saw the first pic of it about 7 months ago. and a month or two ago toyin was able to bring in one specimen.

regarding izzy, it might be a volta variant, which has faded stripes. Or it could be the black substrate, which tends to darken the base color and lessen the contrast, and sometimes give them a charcoal look lol

Picking up Weeksi and Palmas tonight :) Have no idea what size they got in... but I'm gettin em anyway.
