Pic of our ferrets, figured they'd fall under other exotic pets...

Fox(aka foxy brown), Wiley, Bruiser (aka bruisy bertuzzi)

Wiley

Bruiser
:naughty:

i love ferrets. i've got one too. shes my little girl. i'll get some pics up eventually. those are some cute animals you got there.

you should definately put up pics, I love ferrets. We started with adopting fox from a petco and eventually got more, fox and bruiser are the females and wiley's the lone male. What's yours named?

Cool ferrets, always liked them, an wanted one just never got round to it, oh and they smell a bit. :)

That sucks:( Fox actually had a sister when we adopted them, but there was an unfortunate accident, she got under something she wasn't suppose to and it fell on her:(:(
that is how we got bruiser, I didn't want fox to be alone...and wiley came about about two months ago from a petco. he was all alone and half price, I felt bad for him. when I held him he licked my face and that was the deal sealer...

yes, they can smell, but if you keep their cage clean it's all good, I think it's no worse than a dog.(most of them come descented) It took me 10 years to finally get one, now I'm addicted :grinyes:

When i said smell i meant the glands that give them that distinctive smell.
Isnt descenting males bad for them? sure i read somewhere it shortens the lifespan, maybe im wrong on that?? :)

gotcha, i've read that it does and doesn't shorten their life span, so good question... there are so many debates going on with ferret care, it's hard to keep up on what's true and what's not. I know some of the latest things are how the animals are shipped (without food, water, and a place to go to the bathroom) and the spaying/neutering at a young age. I signed a petition on line against the shipping thing to the government. I've been at petco before when ferrets have arrived, they come in this tiny crate about 2 feet long, 1/2 foot tall, no food, water, ect...it's sickening really :(
