Just wanted to have someone else confirm what they are here are so pics of the female, the male seems to be camera shy. So are these Red Tiger Motagunse, they were sold to me as just Motaguense and after digging up some pics I figured they were red tiger if not no big deal to me I still diggem :headbang2

after looking at the pics it does look like I got a shot of the male sorry about the blurry pics

Yes it is a red tiger mota...I've had a few in my fish keeping time......how big are they...and give them lots of rocks and driftwood...so they feel at home...keep the ph a little higher as well as the hardness.....they actually sell a product by seachem that's made for ca cichlids..that really helps a lot....if you have any more questions feel free to ask
 
That definitely looks like a female red tiger mota. Nice pickup!

You can tell she's the female from her color, as well as she has the more pronounced opercular spot on her operculumn....
 
Very nice find. I had a Red Tiger Motaguense male about 9" that was completely ruthless. It would beat the crap out of any fish I tryed to get to live with him so I got tired of him and traded him for a filter. They are a beautiful Cichlid and quite the prolific breeder.
 
Sweet Motags. I love all the fish in the Parachromis family.
