OUT OF ALL THE PARACHROMIS GENUS???

the jag I had just didn't tolerate other fish he was bad lol, he took on a buttikoferi twice his size and age got scraped up and came back for more he was like a pitbull!
 
i would definantly say my dovii, hes killed his brother and sister and almost my midas and jag, iv also had jags before but this is the only fish that would not tolerate anything in his tank including plecos

I'd have to say grammode hands down. Lots of personality but doesn't get as big as the dovii conveniently lol.

I don't find most Parachromis to be overly aggressive in a properly sized tank, simply territorial predators.
Managuense were my first cichlids to spawn, before I owned a camera.

and some technically not, but once thought to be the same, and that really can be just plain aggressive.

The only Prarachromis I've ever owned is my current 10" Jag. He is a brute!


This is one of the only pictures I can find. This is about 3 months or so ago, hes filled out much more since. Ill have to get some new photos....

I am working to get all my SA/CAs into a 400g but right now some are in a 135 and he tried to take over the entire tank. I had to section him off or he would have destroyed my Texas and Festae....

Im hoping once I give them space all will calm down some

Its not a parachromis. Its still exCichlasoma and closer related to festae, beani, uros, and salvini.

Only on MFKers people call grammodes a "mini dovii" :screwy:
