Hi everyone,

I will be out of the fish hobby after selling everything i have. I live in a kinda not safe hood so i gonna have to buy a dog. It a sad day for me today because i gonna be done with fish. I just wanted to see if anyone have a kind of dog to buy for protection. I think of getting a pitbull.

Thanks

Dig a moat, install a drawbridge, and get some attack fish! :D

buy a gun or move, both options will be cheaper and safer than buying a dog, getting the dog properly trained for protection, expecting the dog to keep you safe, and also keeping the dog safe.

but theres hundreds of breeds that will provide protection, depending on what "protection" means to you. you want a walking alarm, get a mini schnauzer. you want a killer, most any large breed will bite some ass.

Damn that sucks to see you out of the hobby man, but a dog is a great pet too, especially a loyal guard dog.

Yea i have a couple gun at home, but i just getting dog because my wife work the 2 shift and i work 2 shift. So I want the dog to be out at the yard when my wife come home.

yeah no way on the pit for actual property protection (im not a pit hater, theyre just GENERALLY not considered a top-line guard dog). Ive got a belgian malinois that i used to do some schz. with. theyre great, like german shepherds but more energy / less shedding. basically if your not going to actually train it to ACTUALLY do protection, get a pit or any tough looking dog with a bark as a deterrant. if you gonna work the dog, go malinois or german shep.
