I know I'm going to get laughed at but my guard dog is an 11 pound rat terrier. I guarantee that long before anyone gets in my house I will be up and waiting for them with a 9mm in my hand. I don't have to worry about her killing someone either, don't tell her that though. In her mind there isn't a dog out there that could harm her and she would never let anything or anybody harm me or my wife.

same thing here, except its a miniature schnauzer. damn dog barks if i fart. between the mini schnauzer, german shepherd, and mini-14 there's not much can get past me.

get a german shepherd. they are very obedient and loving. police use them because they are effective attack dogs.

i learned a long time ago, to NEVER underestimate a terrier.. 11 lbs of tough is sometimes more intimidating than 130 lbs of lump on the couch.
