  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i got him from a friend . and it was wild caught years back . but he probably is 50-60 years old to be this big. its sweat to watch him at night looking for food

Wow what a monster!

wow , are they legal in California and available???

Awesome! Good to see another south louisiana person on here :D

I have a common snapper I found in my warehouse...its only about 4-5" now and about a year old. I cant wait for it to get jumbo like that. I want to build a pond for it too once its big enough. Might try to put it in my office if the boss will let lol.

Tcarswell check into it...I have seen some common snappers in my area I could ship you. Heck I found a 10" one in someones front lawn in my subdivision...I just looked at it and let it rome since there are ponds around. The commons are not as prehistoric looking and dont get as big but still cool and pretty darn big...2nd biggest :D

see my sig for some baby pics

Is that an Alligator Snapping Turtle? Also nice setup would love to see more of a whole setup shot.

I love snapping turtles and all wildlife. To many jerks in my area that will intentionally aim for them if there on the road, or will shoot them if found in ponds. I always stop and move turtles off the road.

Beautiful turtle you got there.....

yea he is the alligator snapper . and for a common to get this big thats probably not going to happen . and tcarswell I'm sorry but i think California outlawed all types of snapping turtles . and ill get more pics of the tank i built .
