yea he is the alligator snapper . and for a common to get this big thats probably not going to happen . and tcarswell I'm sorry but i think California outlawed all types of snapping turtles . and ill get more pics of the tank i built .

That is a beautiful alligator snapper they have a few of them that size at an exotic reptile and amphibian store by my house. Can't wait to see your full tank pictures.

I wasnt saying it will get as big as the allys but a common could get as big as yours is now. The shells get an avg of 15" and 30-40lbs but 50-60 is not uncommon. The allys tho get huge...more like 30" shell and 150-200 lbs.
