Over heard some bad advice at petsmart

Sooo the other employee walked up to you while you were tring to sell Prime(better than Top Fin and costs more! It's a business right?) and he told the customer to buy the cheaper Top Fin. Seriously that's messed up. He probably knew the customer wasn't going to complain saving a few bucks and your new and he knew he could get away with it. I can not stand the people who do things like this, just act like a civil and normal person and not try to have people lose jobs or ruin their lives. People need to have some morals.

You're right --sounds like this employee is just trying to be king of the roost....Besides who would use top fin dechlorinater over prime anyway??? That's all I use is prime.

it's cuz top fin is the petsmart brand and we're supposed to push those products, but when people ask for dechlorinator im gonna tell them prime and when people ask for filters ima be recommended AC's and marinelands, just how it is

his arguement was that it was 'more chemicals' even though prime uses less drops per gallon than top fin if im thinking straight... at the very most it's the same

I've work at Petsmart for over 3 years and now I'm at the DC(distribution center) for Petsmart. There's nothing wrong with promoting our band(Hell, I buy Authority dog food which is Petsmart's brand of dog food), but it's all money. I would promote Top Fin exclusively in front of this worker then as they walk away(flip them off) and pick up the Prime to show the customer. You'll like the job, eventually with senority and showing managers that you know your stuff and helping customers(always do this, especially in front of managers) you will be a Lead and can tell that fellow employee what to do! It's fun, believe me.

Well, I'm out. You work 10 hour days at the DC. Which start in less than 4 hours, lol.
