Does overcrowding a cichlid tank decrease aggression?

I think a better option on the poll would be it can work. I agree with the statements above.

I feel it does, but you have to consider matching fish at similar aggression levels and final size as well
 
From my experience I would not recommend this type fishkeeping.
 
I agree with Bderick67. Space/territory is a major issue with aggressive fish, more so with larger ones. If you notice the other comments, they say IT CAN work, but after you've gone threw many deaths for being stubborn. Its just not a healthy thing to do.
 
In the thread that this is in reference to, I said it CAN. I did not say this was a 100% positive method of keeping, but it can work in many cases. I was only pointing out the completely incorrect statement that overcrowding CAUSES aggression. Aggression is not caused by anything. It is not a disease, it is a habit. In the cases that it does work, adding more fish simply spreads the focus of the aggression among multiple others.

For the reasons above, I did not vote, as there is no 100% anything.
