Owners of Dovii

My male attacks the top of my aquarium so much I took off the glass because I'm afraid he's going to break it. His tank is in my livingroom and we are so tired of him smacking the glass and making us jump that I'm ready to let him go. If you look at broberts1030 picture you will see him, if it's not the same fish , it's identical, I got them from Jeff Rapps. He's missing a small piece of his fin. He's 13"+ and has a 7"+ female. They have bred twice in the last 5-6 months and get along just fine. I live in California, in the High Desert if anybody is interested. I payed an arm and a leg for them, but will sell them for a reasonable price ($125) if anybody is interested.
My dovii hits the top of the tank to, When I have a transparent container full of crickets sitting on top of the tank he sees them and trys to go for them. Than another time I noticed that the water dripping off the lids of the tank from the condensation seems to attract his attention and I think this might be what causes him to hit the lids. Him and the female can remain posed in mid water just pointing towards the roof for ages.
I am all so jealous of you guys!!!I would love to own another Dovii,but here in Springfield,Mass they seem impossible to get my favorite LFS is of no use in getting them usually only as a "trade in"then they are usually pretty large and already pyshco.Keep the pics coming they are quite enjoyable!!!Thanks!!!!!
I will own a dovii for the rest of my life, i love them, such great fish. they are real personal too.
