Post some pics King El..I had two together before and they were nasty toward their tank mates but every one I've had on it at own has been peaceful...This one swims around and stays with the peacock bass.

Here are some old pics during the move as the new tank is being cycled. All were piled up in a 180g tank before. They are now in a 700g.

When u pick up a juvie try to get the one with wider bigger spots. As it grows it devides to more smaller spots. Try not to pick those with smaller dots as it might loose the spots as it grows.
Interesting,I got mine from one of our awesome vendors Jojo so I did not have the option to pick it out and I haven't seen one in any store for quite a few years.I do recall Jojo stating that his afer's did not have any spots at all when we were discussing me ordering one.The one he sent me did have spots but they were very faint.They seemed to become more visible as time went on.
It was probably still stress or just new to the environment when he tooks the pics. Always have take those that are already settled
Could have been...What are you feeding yours?I had mine on floating carnisticks once but I slipped up and tossed a few minnows in that were intended for a tank mate.He got a taste of a few of them and ignored the pellets ever since.He will eat tilapia and shrimp on occasion.
Main diet: hikari cichlid gold sinking, hikari massivore delite, hikari jumbo sticks, smelt (none frozen), tilapia fillet (none frozen), basa fillet (none frozen), sole fillet (none frozen) makerel (cant find fresh one only frozen), Frozen gobies.
Occasional: Black tiger prawns, white shrimps, cichlids fry, snakeheads fry, betta juvie, goldfish fry, swamp eel juvie, weather loach.
Try to feed less shrimp, goldfish and other cold water fish as they contain more thiamese.

Mine loves on some live black worms, seems to be his favorite so far.
