wanted to bump this to say i watched this within the last couple of weeks and give it one afro thumb up

despite the bad reviews it's pretty entertaining. Worth a check out for true special effect fans. wets your appetite for Godzilla

The long narrated explanation at the beginning turned me against the movie immediately.

I thought it was a cheap get over that all of the monster and fight scenes took place at night when you could hardly see anything.

you need a bigger tv then lol. are you serious? i thought the monsters/robots looked great. Felt larger then life. i def couldn't call it cheap with all the CGI they would've had to poor into that movie. was just reading it did really well overseas but struggled in the US. guess the more advanced technology countries know good art when they see it

it's definitely done better then the fight scenes on transformers

Eh,I saw it in the theater when it came out and didn't think enough about it to bother posting about it afterward and there's little chance of me watching it again at home lol...I wasn't referring to production costs or anything like that when I used the word cheap,I just didn't like how everything is hidden at night.

Decent movie, Special effects were good but like someone said before it was always at night. Stupid. Godzilla better have some day time action!

alright, tough crowd. can you guys point me toward a better done monster vs robot movie? i don't watch a bunch of subtitled movies or straight to dvd flicks or bother going back to watch old stuff. where can i feast my eyes on something better?

^ there isn't! I like the cast, (charlie day in particular). Sure its kind of corny but what SciFi movie isn't? I liked it more then the original Godzilla

Monster vs robot movie sure there isn't much better if any. Pacific Rim was dope I thought I just wish we had a memorable cast.

that wasn't long at all actually. the quick and informative explanation was all I needed and it was pretty well done to get thru all the crap I didn't care for. it gave the movie plenty of time to spend on the action.

I think the plot as well as characters lacked a lot of depth and originality but I think we all can agree the movie's purpose is to entertain with visual affects.

I agree with the poster that mentioned about Charlie Day. He gets the mvp award in this movie. Aside from Day, all the others lacked much life and ron Pearlman had a small role but his character had more, well, character than everyone else. when did Pearlman become such a stud? I loved him in enemy at the gate. one day i'm gonna start sons of anarchy just to see Pearlman at work. I honestly think the actor playing lead guy (Charlie hunnam) is a main reason why the movie didn't do as well in the states to be honest. couldn't fill the shoes imo.

the visual affects factor carries the movie, other areas that lacked didn't matter. though I do agree it would've been nice to see some fight scenes during the day. it was pretty sick when that one monster spread its wings and flew

this is a good movie to watch to get your eyes and mind all hot and moist, buttered up for Godzilla penetration. got my fingers crossed for a good Godzilla movie

I give this movie a master lee thumbs up for the entertainment
