Thank you i will try tonight to feed them little pieces of carrots, do you peel off skin to make sure there are no pestisides on it.. or do you buy organic? When you can post some pictures of your pacu's..with their red bellies.. and thanks again.

blanch (lgihtly boil) them first though, this goes for any hard vegatable or tough fiber leafy green as well.
pacu's have a inefficient digestive system and he might **** it out whole.

Also as treats I give them crayfish tail meat that I get at Super Wal-Mart where they keep the shrimp. They go ape-schnit over them. Its pure tail meat and the frozen pack is as big as a large pack or frozen fish food. It cost about $4. At least in florida it does. Wouldn't see it being different anywhere else since it is at Wally world.
It is dragging out but i have learned quite a bit about Pacu's diet..it is VAST! And its almost like adding a couple more to dinner everynite... vegeterians !ewurm;522226; said:
