Pacu Tanks

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
100 gallon at least. They can't even turn around in that tank and they are still not full grown dude.

when my cousin had 3 in his 55 it was sad to see. they couldnt turn around easy.. they had to put their head up or down to turn around ok. they couldnt stay level and turn.

You will definitely need a bigger tank, like today, do it right and they will look like these.

They are about 12 inches long. I bought them from a "expert fish guy" who told me they would do fine in a 55 gal. tank. They grew up in the same tank together and do not fight, although when startled they tend to wig out a bit.
The "expert" fish guy was either an idiot or a lying SOB. A 55g is barely an adequate short-term container for one 12-inch Pacu. For two of them babies, you're looking at something in the 150g + range or more. Eventually, you'll need over 200g or more.

These fish grow very fast and very big.
