I have a 110 gal with
6" pacu
2" clown loach
NOW 2 - 2" Oscars

i had 4 oscars and the pacu ATE them.

I thought that pacus were nice???? Was i wrong?? Are pacu very aggresive?? What should i do get rid of him???

ya i looked up info on pacus and all it says is that u must have a big tank.

There is much mislead info out there on Pacu's unfortunately....
You can look up some more info out there on OPEFE.com....Just search out the Pacu topics.....Enjoy the read...

seemed that the oscars were too small.... i'm keeping mine with oscars.... doesn't mind them though.... my oscars are about 4 and hes about 6 too...

If it will fit in a Pacus mouth its fair game. My Pacu has recently taken to hunting my Giant Danios which have been in my tank with him and the large oscars for well over a year. I got them as a clean up crew for the oscars messy eating habbits. Pacu are primarily vegetarians in the wild they eat alot of fruits and nuts that fall into the river systems, but dont be fooled into thinking that if theyre hungry and opportunity doesnt present itself they wont eat another fish. I hope you have a grasp on how large Pacu get and are prepared to upgrade when need be or have a definate plan for your Pacus future. They easily reach 24" in the home tank and have seen a few that have gotten around 30" or more even.
